  • A rental car is a good idea! The ceremony will be in downtown Victoria, the reception will be about 45 minutes away. Uber and public transit are not very reliable on the island.

    Shuttle and parking information will be posted on the Details page when available.

    A rental car will also be necessary if you plan on exploring more of the exceptional beauty that Vancouver Island has to offer while you’re there.

  • We want all of the adults to have a great time, so we politely request no children who require supervision (below 10 years of age).

    Vancouver is on the mainland, while Victoria is the main city on Vancouver Island. Victoria is also the capital of British Columbia! We recommend checking out the beautiful provincial Parliament building while you’re on the island.

  • Explore downtown Victoria! Check out the historic Empress Hotel, Canada’s oldest Chinatown, the Royal BC Museum and take a water taxi to Fisherman’s Wharf.

    Interested in seeing sights by water? Try kayaking in the downtown inner harbour (rentals at Fairways Gorge Paddling Club). For a nature-orient kayak, go to Sooke harbour (rentals at West Coast Outdoor Adventure).

    For garden lovers, Butchart Gardens is worth a visit.

    Yearning for a hike or a beach? There are countless options!

    For the more adventurous folk - go whale watching, take a harbour plane, take a day drip to Sidney Island or Saltspring Island, or if you dare… drive four hours north to go cold-water surfing in Tofino.
